Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers

Heavy-Duty Process Heat Exchangers Designed to TEMA and ASME Section VIII Standards

Process Heat Exchange

Engineered For High Pressures, Extreme Temperatures & Aggressive Fluids

Aircon Shell & Tube heat exchangers are the workhorses of chemical refineries, pharmaceutical synthesis, oil and gas utilities, and industrial chiller plants. Built to withstand operating pressures up to 60 Bar and thermal extremes from -40°C to +350°C.

Our fabrication incorporates CNC-drilled tubesheets with precision serrated grooves, electronically controlled torque tube rolling, and optional TIG seal welding to guarantee zero inter-fluid contamination.

Core Shell & Tube Configurations

Selecting the right TEMA mechanical construction ensures easy maintenance and thermal stress relief.

Fixed Tubesheet (TEMA BEM / AEM)

Tubesheets are welded directly to the shell cylinder. Offers maximum heat transfer surface area for a given shell diameter at the most economical investment. Best for clean shell-side fluids.

  • Shell Diameter: 150 to 1500 mm
  • Shell Side Cleaning: Chemical Flushing
  • Expansion Joint: Optional Bellows Type

U-Tube Removable Bundle (TEMA BEU)

U-bend tube geometry allows the entire tube bundle to expand and contract freely without thermal expansion stresses. The bundle can be easily withdrawn from the shell for high-pressure water jet cleaning.

  • Thermal Stress: Zero Stresses on Shell
  • Maintenance: Removable Bundle
  • Service: Steam, High Differential Temp

Floating Head (TEMA AES / BES)

One tubesheet is stationary while the other floats freely inside the shell, accommodating extreme differential thermal expansion while enabling mechanical cleaning of both inside and outside of straight tubes.

  • Application: Refineries, Heavy Fouling
  • Mechanical Cleaning: Both Shell & Tube Side
  • Reliability: Severe Cyclic Operation
